Home Sweet Home....I think????

Well.....Today I found out that We got a home but a different one than I was hoping for. This home is on Delridge in Hucrest. Its very Nice from what I hear but the only problem is that it is a two bedroom home that they are renting and the owner lives down stairs. So I will be sleeping on the couch. And the bathroom is in the master bedroom (the parents bedroom). So i know its a blessing to have somewhere to live before GL, but I am being stretched majorly with this new move. PLEASE keep me in prayer. I like my space and I will be living in a fish bowl with out a room. And it will be hard leaving my only home I have known. But you know me I will keep on smiling.

Bitter Sweet "Burn" Weekend

This last Saturday some of the young adults went floating down the river. And being smart as we are none of us had sun screen. So we basked in the sun for 4 hours..It felt good. The water was just right the sun had the perfect warmth. Until I got home. My skin was on fire. My family members were over reacting (so I thought) to how bad the sunburn was. I ended up staying home from work Tuesday and Wednesday. I couldn't raise my arms past my shoulder socket and I started to blister all over my shoulders, arms, and joints. Tuesday I went into the doctor and they said I had second degree burns and they did not want to put any ointment on the burns due to the blistering. So I spent the last several days laying flat and not moving. Today is my first day back to work....Boy did I learn my lesson about SPF.
The Sweet part about my weekend is that Our house sold and everything closed on time. And so we have to be moved out by July 20th. My dad found a brand new 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home. We are in the process of getting that home. And my dad is letting me move in with them and tell I leave for Generational Leadership in September. That is a major answer to my prayers. And also the support checks are starting to trickle in. God has perfect timing. When ever I worry or fret nothing gets done. But when I give my worries or problems to God, things fall into place and are orchestrated beautifully!

MY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!!

This weekend was my 21st birthday. On Friday the young adults threw me a "suprise" birthday. I kind of knew something was up. Jamie picked me up from work and she told me we were going to have a going away party for Matt Coil. Which made sense because he was leaving this week to go back to the philippines. So Jamie got me believing that it really was a going away party for Matt. And we walked up to the stairs of her house and I see a big banner that said HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURA. I truly was suprised it made my day!!!! Rachelle made this beautiful turtle cake that is in the water with other baby turtles. It was really too neat looking to eat. We played some interesting games maybe they were philippino games....I guess we will never know. Also on Friday my work threw me a "hawaiian theme" birthday. Monday was my actual birthday and my family had a nice dinner together (alcohol free! Just thought i would throw that in there...i know you were all questioning that.) I have great friends and family!!!!

Batter up!!

Last night I went to the church softball game. I miss not being able to play this year. So I was asked to do the stats. I had no idea what I was doing I felt like a goof. So I handed it off to a young boy who knows more than I do. Oh well! This morning I had to go to court for my ticket that I received from my wreck last month. It was interesting to watch the whole precidings in the court room. I was one of the last ones to be called up in front of the judge. I was amused by how many excuses people gave because of their tickets. So when the judge called my name I walked up so carefully because I was wearing my high heels. And my foot caught one of the chairs and I made a fool of myself. But it lightend the room up. Everyone was so tense. Well the good news the judge cut my ticket from $273 to $205. That made me very happy. The judge asked how much damage there was to my car. I told him that I had totalled it and he laughed at me. Little does he realize I am upside down in my car loan..good times!!!!!
